Walter O'Ryan was a gift from my
children on my 41st birthday. He went
with me every where I went, and he
was my best buddy for nine years. We
went through so much together. During
the nine years that I had Walter, he only
produced two litters of puppies. They
were beautiful, but back then I wasn't
interested in breeding Cocker Spaniels.
Now I wish I'd kept one of his babies.

Walter was stolen from me in July 2ed,
2000. He disappeared without a trace,
and his absence broke my heart. I
posted "Lost Dog" posters on every
telephone pole within a 5 mile radius
of my home; I advertised in the local
newspaper; and I checked the Humane
Society and both Animal Control facilities
in our area twice a week for two years,
but with no luck. I never found my
buddy.

I still miss him very much, and I find that I still look for him everywhere I go.
