Jeannie and Ryder of California

Jeanie and Ryder - Jeanie contacted me in February asking if I knew or had heard of Eloy Sandoval, a breeder in Rio Rancho. She had bought Eli, a red male with a white streak on his chest, from him many years ago. After losing Eli she decided that she wanted another Cocker in her life. She hoped to get another Cocker from the same breeder because she had been so happy with Eli. I didn't know and hadn't heard of Mr. Sandoval but contacted Jeanie a day or two after Archie and Oreo's litter was born on March 17, 2004. Jeanie decided to get a pup from me. Due to a mix-up with emails, I sold the female that Jeanie had originally decided that she wanted. Jeanie sent a deposit for Ryder but later contacted me to say she was concerned that she might be taking Ryder to replace Eli and didn't feel that was fair to Ryder. I told Jeanie that I thought that Eli had a special place in her heart, and Ryder would make his own place. Wanting to do the right thing for Ryder, Jeanie thought about it for a bit, and ultimately decided to take Ryder. A few weeks later, on May 15, 2004, Ryder flew out to Santa Cruz, California to live with Jeanie. From what I heard from Jeanie, it was love at first sight when she met Ryder! Jeanie tells me that Ryder loves the beach and loves thier hikes. I think Ryder is going to have a wonderful life with Jeanie.

This is an updated photograph of Ryder, and the nice looking young man with him is Jeanie's son, Nick.

Kathy and Bridgette - Bridgette was born on March 17, 2004. Four days later, Kathy's husband, Erik, told me that he wanted to surprise her for her birthday this year. He wanted to get her a Cocker Spaniel puppy, but her birthday was in a couple of days, and the puppies did not even have thier eyes open yet. While Kathy was out of town on business, Erik and his daughter, Amanda, came over to see my puppies. They fell in love with Bridgette. Anyway, I suggested that he give her a beautiful puppy collar for her birthday ... then he could tease her about what she could do with the collar a bit then surprise her with a puppy. He did. Five weeks later Kathy, Eric, and thier daugher took Bridgette home. It was a joyful time for thier family.
